VAC-14 Muffler

Any idea what muffler a VAC-14 came with? Seems it would have been pretty slim, allowing the hinging hood to pass. Anyone know the measurements of the original one? I recently got a small Stanley at Fleet Farm, but if I keep it it will need about a 6" extension to keep the exhaust out of my face.

sorry I have not went and put a tape to one yet,, the later units looks like around 1949 all seem to have come with the taller muffler, as you can see in the other factory pic earlier units had the shprter one like you describe
