case 1175 hydraulic problem

Hey everyone. I have a problem with the 1175. All of a sudden while brush cutting I lose all hydraulic power. No PTO, 3 point, remotes, steering, and also there was no circulation in the transmission through the sight glasses, and the transmission oil pressure was in the red. So is this a hydraulic pump problem? I'm use to transmission pumps in the transmission, but does the 1175's hydraulic pump perform this duty? Thank you for helping. Mark

I would pull the hydraulic pump off the back end and try to turn the pump drive shaft. My guess would be a twisted/broken drive shaft, or the spline/drive hub failure in the flywheel.

Mark: Hopefully, when you pull the pump, you will find a disintegrated pump seal on the intake, which would be a simple, inexpensive fix. But, if you have the Tranny filled w/ the proper amount of Tranny-Hyd. Fluid, you shouldn't see any circulation.

Well I pulled the pump off and I see the coupler between the drive and driven shafts is stripped. There is some damaged thing a little bit further into the pto housing that I really can't identify. Certainly the pump was getting no power. I tried turning the shaft of the hydraulic pump with a rag and vise grip. It turns but is a little weird, not really smooth. Perhaps this is because it is pumping slightly? Should it be real easy to turn the shaft? Thanks guys.
