case 1030 governor weights

Just drug home a 1030 it is a diesal when it's rolling over to start you can hear the governor weights in the pump clunken non of my 930's make noise is this something i should be worried about? Doesnt make any noise when its running and runs just fine.

Don't worry about it, can hear that on the test stand sometimes too.

Better to hear them than not. Bought a 930 a couple years ago that had sat for 20 years and the weights were stuck in one position, wanted to run about 4000 rpm. Took the cover off the back of the pump and freed them up and all was good.
