So this VAC I got a couple weeks ago only has the lower part of the linkage so if I wanted to use the PTO it would be a real pain in the back sides to reach down to it. So any body have pictures that would show how it should be so I can maybe find some used parts or make some??
Thanks

The handle is only a peice of 5/16" rod with an L on the bottom with hole for cotterpin, and about a 2" loop formed at the top to get your hand on. You will more than likely find a small angle tab with a 3/8" hole in it above the pto lever that the rod threads through, to ingage pto, you push clutch, pull lever up and when lever down on pto housing, starts to ark over push top of rod to outside of tractor to lock it in gear.
If you don't follow my description, I can go out and take a pic tomarrow.

haven't got any photos handy but about 5/16" rod with an L on 1 end with a hole bored near end for cotter key.comes up about a foot ,needs a couple bends there should be a flat metal with a hole bored in it for the rod to pass through ther a bend with a round bend handle

PTO control rod. Nothing special about bending to fit or how high you want it. 2nd pic on a 300 same w/o the bends.

Old, I assume that you posted about this tractor earlier and I haven't seen it. They changed the pto lever with the eagle hitch tractor. Prior to that the pto lever was to the left of the operator and qas simply a long lever that pulled up and over center to the right just a little. It had a hole in the end of it that your could put a rope in and attach behind the seat. Kina like the old put chains we used to tie a string to so we could pull the lite on without getting ourt of bed.

If I ran the numbers right this is a 1949 VAC serial number 53610001. It has a 3 point but not an eagle hitch type but form what people on here have said it is a Stockton
