let me know the good and bad.it appears ok driving by.i need to go in my pickup so i can see up close how it is.are parts still available for it? probably bale up 4 or 500 bales a year.thought if its in good condition it painted up and my 312 painted would make a nice pair.
i know lots about square bailers but just not about a case bailer

Case balers of that vintage, 200 220 230 330 are limited in capacity by the sweep arm feed. Slow baling and the sweep arm is a high wear item. In my opinion not Cases best baler.....and we have 5 or 6 of them. Have been told New Holland knotter parts are similar or the same. Would think other parts are hard to come by.

I have one. It is a good baler if the price is right for 400 to 500 bales a year. I have brought parts from CIH in the last few years for it, but they are listed under CASE 200 Rectangular Twine Tie or something like that. 200, 220, and 230 are all listed together and basic parts are the same. There are a surprising number still around so you should be able to find a parts baler at some point. They do pack a nice bale as well.

SC,I stopped by your place this evening hoping for the nickel tour as it's been a few years since I have been there. I have a 200 that I use to put up a little storm hay or straw with. It's slow going and doesn't make real nice bales if the windrow is too light. Bale length consistency is another issue. It's fun to play with but a 24T will bury it alive as far as capacity. I keep looking for a 425 IH like we bought new.

Dang it! Sorry I missed you. Took the boss for a burger and a beer. Did you happen to see the combines in the field? Pat has some good pictures he should put up. Yes, I like the looks of the Case baler, but my 24T will out bale them 2 to 1.

I agree that they were Never designed to be a commercial baler, they were made for the "family farm" so you could put up your own hay, 400-500 bales with one is no problem at all, and I agree that they will make a good bale if they are setup correctly,, but they do not like a light windrow nor do I recommend a huge one either,, I used to bale 1500-2500 a year with my 200/220's, sure a NH JD ect will bale faster,, a fact we told people who came to buy one, if you want to have a matching baler and just flat out have fun doing it get one,, do make sure they are in perfect time, keep all chains tightened up so they do not have slack but not "Tight" either, they are a knot tying machine,, feeder heads were a source of maintenance, make sure the pivot brg that holds the feeder head is adjusted up and you can run them a long time even with their short falls, also correct pto speed is very important as well

Looks like you have added a few things since the last time I was there. If you get to Prairie Village we can talk there. I would like to get your thoughts on how we should proceed with the JICCA summer convention in 2019. Sometime this fall I will run up there.

I don't have a lot to bale anymore 6 acres and time is in my favor.besides it would let the 312 work enough to get the carbon out of its lungs. tall vac and my number 5 jd can cut and the low wheeled va can pull a rake.need to go give that 230 a good visual
