Idelivered a 2cord load all cut 16 and split to a nice old farmer that hasn't farmed for over 20 yrs.He asked me how would I like to have an old tractor?I said I do have three I play and pull with.Said follow me into the barn and have a look.Lots of tall grass growing in front of the barn door and helped him pull it open.Half way down the barn there sat a 1952 case dc with a hefty loader on it.I drooled for a minute and asked what he'd take for it.Said (bring me another load like that and its yours]Deal!I came back with more wood and a hand full of tools and piece of sandpaper and gas and got busy.Fired right up!He told me he bought it new and never had the hood off it.Aint been run in 30 yrs. drove it on the trailer and proudly took her home.Got it home and cleaned it up a bit and took the hood off and yanked the valve cover off.Its a wonder it ran at all cause all the valves were way off on lash ,some were 1/4 inch.No bull!
