970 engine oil pressure

My 970 starts about 50 psi and then when its in the field working warmed up well it's down to 35 psi. Running heavy duty straight 30 wt. Is that still okay? The engine is getting worn because it's using close to a quart an hour.

My 970 has 10,000 hours + on the hour meter. Oil pressure was fine, but I thought I had better check the bearings before I lost one. I found .008 oil clearance and lots of brass showing. Rolled in a new bearing set for $85 and found it had been knocking. Money well spent, and not a bad job. Several of the tabs on the bearings were almost warn off. I do not let them get over 6500 hours on a bearing set now.

Thanks for the responses. The tach and meter still work and it's a little over 7k hours. Yes I was thinking about rolling in new mains. If I can get it done I think I will do an in frame overhaul on it this winter or spring.
