Case International

Is this where I would go to ask questions about a Case International or would I go to International Harvester?

This website is for old or vintage tractors from yesteryear, but, there are some good guys on here that will answer your questions
for your modern tractor if it ain't too new. If you don't get an answer here, you can try the IH forum but the Case guys are more
helpful. Otherwise you need a website that caters to the modern stuff or why not try asking your local CaseIH dealer? They send
their mechanics to schools constantly to keep up with that newer stuff and work on it every day. Otherwise, ask away!

Case took over IH in 1986 , that is 30 years ago . I think a 30 year old tractor is
old , but then again I am only 55 , and still a kid right . The smaller tractors in
the early CaseIH days , were just rebadged IH tractors , example would be 485 585 685
885 . The larger tractors like the 5140 ,7110 were all CaseIH . I am sure that you
already know the early Case tractor were just rebadge David Brown tractors , in the
under 90 hp class . The last J.I.Case tractors in this size ended in 1969, much to my
regret . Hope that this helps some .

bruce, that is more accurate info than I can recollect easily of case after the shotgun wedding in 1986 , I thought that happened in 84? but wont argue based on my limited knowledge / however please know that case rebadged the 4-530s to be 470and 570with very few changes the most major was (dropping triple range to dual range ) until 1973,mother co. Tenneco devoured david brown and the real case was only allowed in the backhoe forklift applications until sometime much later ,. the david brown reigned on the smaller end of case power line up until ihc was devoured as well ,.. from that time forward I do not think case offered anything with david brown roots ,, the line was officially killed ,,.. others may know much more and I welcome their comments and stand corrected ,.

All the 470 570 models had the Eagles ground off as that was no longer used by the marketing team. They must have gotten some feed back because Abe is still around.
