Case 411 LP

I just finished mowing 8 acres of thick, tall, stinky marestail. The 411 had power to spare. I was using a 72 inch Ford 951 mower. When I would get into some very tall thick grass the mower or something would make kind of a ratcheting sound and would bog down. I would hit the clutch and the brakes and mower would regain momentum and free itself and start spinning fast again. Anyway, that old Case seemed to have lots of power. I am wondering if I could use a larger mower with it?

(quoted from post at 19:01:00 07/27/16) titen the slip clutch on the mower , then you can grab another gear

I am not sure there is a way to adjust mine and I would be leery of messing with it. I think it is a good safety to have instead of tearing something up. Like shearing a pin or harming the tractor in some way. I actually don't know for sure. I am liking my old 400 series case a lot. Going to go mow another one of my pastures here in a bit. About one acre. If I have time I might clip a little pearl millet I've got growing that my 2 head of cattle are grazing.
