830 COM pressure

I picked up"Larry" my 830 com comfort king diesel a couple of years ago. It seems to be getting more
sluggish all the time. I have about 150 psi tops on the new gauge. Is that enough or is my torque
converter going bad. I remember Dad replacing one in a 800 in the early 60's. Also what is the RPMs
supposed to be on that tractor, I get about 18-1900 out of it. I am trying to get all the other leaks
sealed up on it too, power steering and injector pump weeping. I think we are making progress.

The Service Manual says @ 1500 RPM, pressure should be 160 to 170. However, our 800 only reaches 130, but she is very strong, the gears do not drag, so I have not looked into trying to raise it. Will your 830 stall in Direct Drive if allowed to? Obviously, if you hooked on a set of 5 bottom plows & tried to go down the furrow in 5th, you would say she was "sluggish". What are you trying to do w/ it?

Thanks for the info. I guess my RPMs are right. As for the COM not sure. I really dont use it for anything heavy just seems to be very slow to get moving even in like 6th gear. It doesn't slip in direct as for as I know.
