I am in need of either a new carb or some kind of carb rebuild but dont know anything about the updraft carbs or how to find a replacement. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

most reputable auto parts stores should have a kit, even a carb.napa, car quest .not autozone.i go in and ask for spark plugs to a vac case n they say we don't have tractor parts.i go in and give spark plug number they keep asking whats it for we need to look so we give you what the computer says.i say just give me the plugs.they don't care about anything but cars n pickups

Does anyone know what kind or anything. I'm assuming I would get further if I knew than if I just walked into napa talking about tractors lol

I can dig out my 420B parts book,, but here are the part #'s off the parts I have on hand for mine

B51462 bowl gasket
390873R91 valve (needle and seat)
1342824C1 base gasket
this is not the same carb as a ag 400B has
cnt

Here are the pics of the carb, any info is appreciated, also what are some of the things like spark plugs and oil filter. Wanting to get this thing back into service

Carb looks like a large bowl Marvel Schebler. Clean off the circled end of the fuel rail. There might be a p/n stamped there.

Otherwise view the second pic of a TSX635, that is another place the p/n can be stamped om MS carbs. The tag is on the blind end of the choke shaft which on you tractor would be on the engine side. You would have to clean the area well and check with a mirror.

Your 310B parts tractor probably has that TSX 635 carb.

Thanks Tom. That solves one mystery and presents another. The 420B carb listed G11050 is the MS carb TSX635 in the first pic, usually factory carb for the 300/300B series and the carb that is probably the same as on his 310B parts tractor.

However the pics of the his installed carb appears to be the usual factory 400B carb G45103 MS carb TSX749 shown at the link. In any event the part nr tag for his installed carb should be on the blind end of the fuel rail as in the 2nd pic.
