Short of replacing a belt and a few old fuel lines, this stage of the rest on the 610 Terramatic is complete.

Great attention to detail. The exhaust manifold does not look like it has had much heat pushed through it. I suppose I should know, but what kind of engine is that? Rod.

This is a Continental ED-208. I think the were used in the Massey 333 and 444, not 100% sure on that but I know it's one of them. They were also used as a stationary motor on pumps and gen sets. Only built for two years, from what I can gather. However, for sure not 100% on that fact either! The exhaust manifold is painted with POR-15 High Heat manifold paint. When I was cleaning this thing up the manifold had what looked like a ceramic coating on it that the sand blaster would not cut through very easily, so I stopped blasting it and re-coated it. You are right, the manifold has had not much heat blasted through it. Hour meeter shows 1203 Hrs and by the shape of the guts on this engine I believe it.

FredR, interesting comment on the ceramic coating on your manifold, I have a 1950? U.S. Trac (predecessor of Terratrac) with a Continental F-124 industrial engine that had the original manifold and the exhaust stack coated with similar material. Looked like a fused sand, about 1/8" thick, silvery color throughout, and file hard.
I wonder if it was proprietary to Continental?
