Good day everyone,
I have a 1959 Case 611-B tractor that I am needing a bearing for on the pto shaft. If you have looked on the CaseIH parts book, this shaft
part number is a G14279, 45 3/4" long. The bearing I am looking for is from this parts page also, part number G10420. Well this part is
obsolete and has a new part number of 86628556 according to the CaseIH parts book. It is a needle bearing for the pto housing, at least that
is what I am told. I have an old family friend in his mid 70's that has this tractor in his shop taken apart. I bought this tractor from my
old neighbor this way. So now I am trying to get the correct parts for it to get it home again. So I went to a local bearing shop that I have
been doing business with over the years. I show them the CaseIH parts page and I also brought the pto shaft along as well to show the bearing
shop exactly where the bearing is needed. I don't have the old bearing or pto housing in my possesion right now. The bearing shop measures the
pto shaft of 5/8" diameter. I don't know the outside diameter of the correct bearing I need. The bearing shop says the CaseIH parts book is
wrong, it calls for a Torrington #B-1616. Bearing shop says this bearing is too large for the outside diameter and I need about 13/16" to 7/8"
outside diameter bearing, part number BH 1010 or B 1010. I do not have a service manual for this tractor. I know I should, but I do not yet.
If any of this makes sense to any of you well seasoned Case guys, can you help me please??? Here is a photo of the pto shaft in my tractor. I need the bearing for the stepped down part of the end of the shaft closest to you in the photo. Thank you very much.
