Took a day OFF from working on the 931.

Instead, I spent some time on the 1963 831C. Dropped the wide front axle and replaced it with a NF pedistal that I had. Had a bit of a problem bolting on my rear splitting support. The 831 was a 1/4" wider than the 931 at this mounting point, but I was able to make the support work.
It took me about 2 hrs. to make the switch.
I really like how the tractor looks now. It seams to have taken on a bullish look.
New York State has a grant program where a tractor owner can aquire a 2 post Rops and seat belt for a $500 bill. They pick up the rest of the cost. I'm going to order one from them, and have it delivered here and then attach some rear fenders to it and build a canopy to complement it.
Stat tuned; another ACG custom Case tractor. Correct police close your eyes.

Why the switch to the narrow front Loren?
Apparently a ROPS is produced for that tractor?
Your canopy will be interesting. After riding under a metal one that sounded like being in a drum, I built one from wood and cloth. I wanted it light, quiet, and easily removable.

What do you mean working? When you do what you want to do, it isn't work! LOL!
Sounds like picking the better of two evils! Ha, Ha!

I like how you think Loren, my job has always been to make the tractor as good as if not better than it was new. Correct police have scolded me for some mods. To me personal performance is more important. After all it is your tractor to have fun with and do as you wish. Rod.
