Case CC Serials

Pretty good with red tractors but I acquired a Case CC and could use some more info. It has a wide front and is a 1935 from my looking up of the serial. Spoke with a couple guys at the I&I show last week about it and got some good info. One question I asked was about the pressed steel full dish front wheels. Only seen one other picture with those. Also the engine was orange rather than gray. I'm assuming the engine blew and they put an engine from a DC in it. Wanted to look up year of the block but there is no serial stamp on upper, right rear of block. On the left edge of the bell housing it looks like the serial was welded over then ground smooth. I don't think it's a rare tractor but I can't find anywhere of a list low production serials. Any little tidbit of info would be great. Tractor is a basket case as its sat for I'm guessing 40 + years and the mice made the exhaust manifold, cylinder head and combustion chambers home for that time as well.

DC motor would not fit in a 1935. Only a late 1938 cc or any ci with electric start. It was probably just a repaint somewhere in time. You can tell a c wide front from a cc4 wide front by the spindle drops. A c has the axle shaft high on the spindle. A cc4 has it midway or slightly lower on the spindle

them old c case engines tuned good with a straight pipe had a good deep beller to them.sounded like they were ready to work.and after dark a good flame would rise up out of the pipe.they were throaty tough tractors
