Case SC Starter Seal Thickness?

I want to buy some gasket material to make a starter gasket. I've found 1/4 inch thick and 1/2 inch thick cork material. Which is closest to what I need?

1/2 would be too thick. I think 1/4 would be okay.

I think someone sells starter gaskets. Steiner maybe?

The last I knew they were still available from Case. Part number 05039AB. A new one is about .350 thick.

John Saeli had them in stock a few yrs back at a reasonable $$. The one that he sent me fit perfect. clint

Thanks for the replies. Yeah, I knew John Saeli sold those gaskets. They are shown on his web site, but it says to call for a price. Figured the price must have gone up. Looked like a pretty simple gasket to make, if I could find the right material.
