Rain for the Saeli's

You're not alone John, here in West Central MN, we've seen barely 5" so far this year, last year at this time we were at 14.5, we sure could use a slow 1". Nasty storms to the north, west and south but they've been splitting and missing a 50 swatch of ground here.........

john ,sorry to hear you are needin rain ,. w3 are getting steady rai8ns each week to make a good crop ,, here in southern ind ,,. gotta dodge rain drops to get the hayup ,,.still got 25 acres of beans to plant, had the field worked down like lettuce bed sunday evening and couldt find anyone to run the planter , and then the rains came , about2 inches and I doubt if any run off . I chiseled this 2 weeks ago and the mares tail was 4ft hi ,. ran the disc at 45 degree of chisel , 1st trip , then 2nd trip ran at 30 degress opposite of all previous trips ,, very few mares tail survived after those runs ... I guessit is too late for beans in the finger lakes ,, or is it ? ,,. btws ,, what ya think of my dads car , I found on craigslist ?

My cut-off on soys was the end of this week, but if we get rain, & I can start by the 1st of next week, maybe I will go ahead & plant beans. I can't find that car post, but what I remembered of it, wasn't there a movie where they used a car just like that, that had a mind of it's own?

I went to Gary on the 3rd. The pastures were really brown up that way. We are doing ok so far but a nice rain is always welcome.Iwent to New Ulm yesterday to pick up a 1755 Oliver and drove through a pretty heavy rain coming home. They got 3 inches last week but the beans by Springfield got hailed off and I saw one guy planting. Sounds like a fair chance of wide spread rain tonight around midnight in eastern SD.

you are thinkin of cristine , that is not the samecar at all ,,.john ,, I think I found this on Richmond va craigslist by specifically typing in Desoto on the search line for cars and trucks , if you are still curious ,,,/ occasionally I glean over the US looking for a 57 Desoto fireflite hardtop like mom and dads,, they are out there but no one is turning them loose,. was hoping to plant beans tomorrow ,, but got another 1 and half inch rain this afternoon with more tonite ,,. we don't even need to cut hay to bait in a thunderstorm around here ,,, we did get a good week last week though ,,we got 1400 squares in the barn ,. despite chemo blues,. I was able to handle a few bales to straighten the mess up in the barn , that's how it goes with help, you know ...LOL ,. I truly had good help to get me thru . I ran the baler mostly with the 730 gasser, it likes the 268 n holland baler I traded with Jonathon in liberty ky this spring ,.. if I had not been so preoccupied with hay last week my soybeans would be coming up today ,,, instead they are still in the bag ,. enjoy

Chuck, don't get over confident. Todays weather forcast here only said posabilities of rain Thusday. Rain has been diverting south of NYS so far this summer. It hit 90 today and humid as heck, but that don't grow crops without H20.
