I am making a puller out of a 930, just wondering what you guys think about using 80-90 gear oil in rear end? I have removed 3 rockshaft housing and pto assembly and housing and made plates, I was going to put hy tran back in but thought the thicker 80-90 might not hurt but was wondering about the trans gears with the heavier oil, what are you guys thoughts, here are a few pics so far
Thanks
Ben

Just my thoughts but pulling you want every hp you can get, so using the heavier oil would take more hp to turn the gears through,, #2 Hy-tran is far better for lubing and extreme pressure aps,, as far as running it low,,, the cross shafts will not be lubing if you do I am betting and that will not be good even for short runs in my mind
