Question about a tractor with one domed piston

I have a friend working on a late model SC. When he pulled the head off it had 3 flat top and one domed piston.

Has anyone ever ran any tractor like this? If so did it run rough?

He's thinking about trying it.

Thanks Nick

my thoughts exactly ,imho , it shouldnot matter much,on a SC . but the domed piston was engineered to deliver more h-power. the motor probably stops rite before that compression stroke of that domed piston ,.

I'm wondering also if it isn't a different diameter. The aftermarket domed pistons I have are oversized. Can't remember for sure, but I think they are 3-11/16".
