DC with Eagle

I am changing fluids in my '54 DC. I have YT OP Manual,Service manual & IT shop manual
but I cannot find reference to the fluid for the Eagle hitch. It appears to have it's own
reservoir. Can someone enlighten me ? Does Eagle hitch use same hydro fluid as rear end?
And is totally separate from trans/rear end ?
Thanks, CKain

My operators manual says the transmission Takes 10.5 gallons of sae 90. It also says the hydraulic system takes 11.5 qts. of 10 wt. oil. Use a good universal hyd. oil or hy-tran. as a sub for 10wt. Your manual should say the same.

There are 3 drain plugs underneath the rear end. The front 2 drain the trany and rear end, the rear most plug right above the drawbar is for the hyd. The fill hole for the hyd is a pipe plug on top of the housing under the seat and a bit on the left side. The trany fill plug should be in front of that and a bit left and on a lower step of the same housing and looks like it should fill the hyd but is the trany. The fill level plug for the hyd is on the rear between the pto and hyd pump and on the left side, it's a 1/4" pipe plug. The hyd filter is in the steel can on the right with the other hose from the eagle hitch valve run to it.
