Slowly makeing progress. I lost all of last week due to the uncle decideing that we had to work on the sap house. That's another story; but I won't express my thoughts other than the 931 is not ready to go to the big local tractor show this weekend.
Replaced the leaking rear axle seal this morning and proceeded apply the final coat of red to the chasis. Got the front weights bolted back on and all smoothened out with the 4.5" grinder and flap disc so they are shiney and nice. Took me most of last Sunday to smoothen all 24 rear wheel clamps and run a die over the bolt threads and a tap through the nuts and take the wire brush on the bench grinder to all the bolts.
The RH rear rim was near new, but the LH was an original. Took a lot of sanding to make it look new again.
We had some nasty 50 degree weather with rain until Monday and I couldn't paint. Finished up the peices needing to be power red today.
Also during the nasty weather I finished up the fabrication work on the cab, includeing mounting the door latch hardware that bro sent me. Had to drill and mount it in the new RH door and relocate the handles on the original door as the latches were different, and blended in the mods to the cab visor extensions with some bondo.
Got the silver run on the rear rims and all the rear wheel clamps yesterday.
Finished up painting all the power red chasis parts today Used 1.5 gal of PR paint on the chasis parts. Now on to the desert sunset.
