Have any of yall had better luck with wet application decals or dry application decals? Inquiring minds want to know. This is not my tractor, but thanks to the owner for using it, in my inquiry.

Mylar always shows the clear backing or sheet it's printed on. No way, short of triming ea letter carefully and then applying to get a good, original look. Tradtional ol water based decals work best for me. Solutions are available to dissolve the film and allow it settle over any irregularities (I get mine from a hobby shop). Positioning Mylar is always tricky, hard to slide around. I've used a soapy water solution behind the "sticker" that allows you to slide it around for positioning. That being said, there are sure a variety in the quality of decals too, experiment and keep asking I guess. Everyone has a different level of acceptance, so, it's really up to the look you want. Somewhere between a plastic "sticker" and an original water based deal...............

You must have got some cheap Mylar because the ones I have used you can not see the backer. I find the Mylar easier and less mess than the oil water decals and you have to be very careful sponging out air bubbles so you don't tare decal . Here are some close ups and tell me where you see backer lines. This set of decals in Mylar cost a little over $80.00.

Maple-Hunter in Indiana is the best source of decals I have found hands down. I have put on many of their decal sets on both Case and IH and have had NO problems. Check them out. Paul

I appreciate the info on the decals. Just placed the order. Should see them in time for the WHO Tractor ride. Thanks! Chuck
