I really ache for that engine, you know the wanna have it? Anyone have a Case one lunger engine? I also collect, and really interested, but little has been written about Case's involvement in them. Anyone have data on them, or more pics?

My understanding it was a Raymond Engine.... Guess there are no other comments...... At that time, Case could buy any company they wanted...

Are you talking about the one cylinder that case had what I call a oil field engine used to run rod line wells the only thing I have got is a short article on them in the old 150 years of ji case book there maybe more information in my oilfield engine book though ill have to look

Keep watch in the next issue of [i:345f62f2ba]Old Abe's News[/i:345f62f2ba]. I compiled as much information as I could about them and have a number of pages devoted to them.

The Raymond engines were the big 1,2,3,and 4 cylinder engines 1 1/2 HP to 100 HP that were sold by the TM Co. I have been watching for information on them for 20 years and have never seen anything other than a few pictures. I have heard the Plow Works had small engines under 5 HP, but cannot say for sure. I have found no information on them. There is a little information on the Raymond in "Full Steam Ahead", and quite a bit more information in "150 Years of J.I.Case". It says that the valves were some goofy rotary system that were a failure. The article also states that none are known to survive today. The stationary that is the same engine as the 12-25 through the 40-80 was much more successful.

Here are some pics of them.

Den, thanks for this post, I have seen pictures of the bigger engines,, but not this one on the bottom, I assume its in that 12-25hp,I cant imagine there hasn't been more on these engines, and yes like someone else said they have watched for over 20 years with no more information.

Also if something will come out on Old Abe would be great. Hopefully it will dig into the 12-25 hp. also

Where is the info??!! Does someone have one? Den I'm going to keep your 12-25hp.(If that is ok) picture for sure as I have only seen this one and the one in the Eagle.

Den, thank you again, and I did post your picture over at Smokestak, to see if there is more information over there.
