411 CASE request for advice, brake oil seal

We found out why there was not much oil in transmission, pretty bad leak from the brake seal. Could sure use some advice on the easiest/best way to replace the seal and specifically what seal or seals to replace it with. Also, any related ideas anyone has about this procedure. If you know the part #'s and source that would be great also. This is the BIG case. I have used the search function, but, have really gotten some conflicting information using that. Thanks for any help.

As far as parts, contact John Saeli, external_link. If you don't have a repair manual, John might have one or check E-Bay. 315-585-9826

The original 2 piece seals are not available any more. What I did on mine was to place 2 seals, if I remember correctly that I got from Case, side by side in the housing.

I would recommend getting a copy of the service manual from John Saeli at external_link for the procedure on seal replacement and other repairs on your tractor. It will save you time in the long run.

Also check for any excess play in the shaft, end play or verticle. Both usually adjustable with shims. There is usually a reason seals fail, and after the work of
replacement it doesn't make for a good day to have the seal leak. Seals have no tolerance for shaft movement other than rotational

Tell Saeli you want 4 Case # A32015 seals .Like Eli said you need 2 for each side. One faces out and one faces in. The old synthetic seal # was 010816AB. The obsolete leather seal# was 010817AB. Did you order a parts manual too?
