Towing a 1070?

I'm looking at buying a 1070.... good motor and tires, bad transmission. I really only want the tires and will probably part out the rest. I'm not sure yet what tranny issues it has. I need to move it about 4 miles (gravel) and I'm not trailering it or paying to have it hauled. If it'll move under its own power I'll drive it... if it wont I'll drag it. Is there any special procedure for towing a dead powershift? I'd like to avoid causing more damaging if possible, just incase I get the urge to open it up and see if it can be fixed economically.
Thanks,

Just make sure the 4 speed is in neutral and trans oil level is full. Stay at speeds 20 mph or less. If engine runs it will steer easily also. Rod.

Thanks Rod. If I happen to find another tractor with a bad motor, any ideas what this 1070 motor / other parts could swap on to....970, 1170 etc?
