Been done planting for myself and the neighbors for almost two weeks now. Noticed the beans north of here looked sickly.....then saw some neighbors replanting. Got to looking at mine and had hail last Friday nite, rained and blew like heck, but no hail on the yard. So the top fields got small hail with 40+ winds and shredded the beans. The fellas I planted for the first time are going back in with corn planters and putting another 100000 seeds on. The adjuster comes here in the morning to adjust mine. After 48 years I guess this is the only time I have had to replant because of hail this early.

Shoot, we were finally able to run some burn down for Milo yesterday. Have about 400 acres of Corn yet to plant, and that ground is WET!!! I will be surprised if we get on it before next week. All in all about 2000 acres left to plant.

North central Kansas. I think we had 16 inches of rain in 17 days. We are going on 72 hours with no rain.

yep,, its a NORMAL year for Sure,,." the weather pattern is nuthin like any of the weather patterns of the previous 10 yrs ,,. THAT IS NORMAL " ,. I was gonna say Luky You ,til I read your post ,,. I guess my beans are better off in the bag after all,, for 2 monthes , we could barely get across most fields here in southern ind until about a week ago ,,. most farmers here were pushin hard to catch up on MEMORIAL DAY .. and we usually idle back that day and pay our respects..
