saw another CASE 50 ,, loox to me to be a Case SI version ,..been around Case all my 59 yrs and until about 4 yrs ago , I never heard of the 50 designation ,,most .other 50s had a loader on them , as I recall ,,just curious .,. anyone have any bonafide knowledge of the number vses letter designation ? ..

the "POWER LOADERS" were introduced in 1954 at the tail end of Flambeau units,, I have only seen one model 40 in person, it even had factory power steering,, the 30 was a SI the 40 was a DI and the 50 was a "500" dsl chassis

wow thanks for info Tom,..that SI is really a 30 then ,.. all I have ever seen is the S series,. I had read that s ,d ,and l letter series had loaders and power steering,,. but never really made the connection to a numerical model ...

As you see by the caption in Tom's pictures, the number only refers to the model of the loader. It is still an SI, DI, or 500I for a powerplant. My parts manual for my model 30 says right on the cover "Model 30 Powerloader for SI tractors". It is only for the loader parts and says to go to the SI parts book for everything else. I don't have my pictures handy now or I would put up one of my SI and 30 for Tom to drool over again.
