Radiator Core for '48 DC

We are going to replace the 3 row core with the 4 row core offered on this site( R2989 ) There isn't alot of room as it is , will the 4 row interfere with the fan ? Should I use gaskets , or would just RTV silicone sealer do a better job ? Thanks , Dale

I'm sure they are the same size header , but on my 3 row core , the blank row is on the fan side , the 4 row core will be 3/4 " closer to the fan , that was my concern .

I've used silicone on really pitted radiator tanks with fear gaskets wouldn't hold. Been 10 years and two still holding

Gaskets with Permatex or #2 non hardening sealant, Indian Head shellac should also work, I can't believe someone hasn't made an issue about the name being politically correct, maybe it will become Native American Head shellac!
