Case 300 power steering troubles

Hi there!
I have a Case 300, wonderful machine, but after a long winter storage I find that the power steering doesn't work going to the right.
Can any one explain how the system works? Suggest a diagnosis and/or fix?

Going to need a little more info. Is the 300 a model 311 with gear driven pump and a Char-Lynn torque motor in the steering shaft or a model 310 with belt driven pump and driven unit a hydraulic cylinder mounted down in front below the bolster?

The above would be normal factory equipped for those models but could be changed by request or changed to any combination over the years so let us know what you have. Are there any other malfunctions? I am sure you have checked the oil level, anything else you've done to diagnose the problem?
