Started painting the 931 yesterday. Got all the small stuff done. Started painting the chasis today. got the front wheel bearings from John this morning, so I put the hub back on with all new innards. I still have to pull the LH rear wheel and hub. The axle seal started leaking after I got all the greese and crap pressure washed off. It would have been nice if it leaked when I had the wheel and tire off last winter.
Geezze always something. I have sprayed 5qts of power red on this tractor already and need another to finish painting the new steps. 3pt lift links, and do touch up on all the parts and peices once they are bolted back on the tractor. This new synthetic paint doesn't go very far. Directions call for 4 to 1 ratio. It was too thin and didn't cover well. I ended up just dribbling in a couple of tablespoons of thinner per batch in the spray gun.
