Planted beans for a couple neighbors. Last fella had 150 acres to do. Finished one field and got a good start on the second. Had trouble with a marker and quit at 8:00 in the evening. Next morning neighbor filled the drill and I put the marker together. Ran about 1 1/2 hours and noticed the sight glass start to empty on one side but not the other. Stopped to check and one side was 1/2 full and the other very low. Checked the settings and one side was on 30 and one on 60. 60 is normal. Takes a small hammer to move the lever. Apparently someone changed the setting on one side overnite. Noticed squeal tire marks out of the field driveway....guess someone doesn't like my old equip doing big timers work, although this is the 4th year I have done it. Have to wait till they come up to see if I have to replant more seed.

Ya, I check engine oil every morning. I knew better....shoulda moved it into his yard. Hate to leave anything in the field anymore. Few years ago a neighbor shut the tractor off at nite to take a quick nap. Heard a noise and started the tractor and turned the lites on as someone was trying to steal the batterys and didn't know he was sleeping in it....bet they had to change shorts.

My nephew had his batterys stolen two times in three nites, all the police had to do was ask the scrap buyer who brought those batterys in, bingo, that put a stop to that.

I don't understand why someone would be upset with you "Custom" drilling beans?? Is that a Yetter Coulter Cart? What brand of Drill is that?

yes sir ,,. my brother and I were victims of that thievery ,separate incidents ,,both times ,, called the sheriff , went to the scrap yard, located our batteries, the yard had a address.. sheriff went there and busted them for dope too, speaking of trust ..heard this one the other day of a guy that helpt me from time to time ,he was a very good worker but always needed money every day ,and was always scheming to trade stuff and take advantage of anyone if you let him , Yet , he would show up the next day on time and work good , but he is in jail now. story goes he sold his car to a scrapper, but wanted to drive it until friday ,, the title was signed and handed overfor 500 cash, with the understanding the car would be in the scrappers yard come Friday evening ,.did NOT HAPPEN ,.another week goes by and another hard luck story, after another week ,, the scrapper got the sheriff and went to visit the guy and after hearing the hard luck story con game .. told both of them , this is a cival matter,, take him to court to get the car or get the money back .and did nothing..,well that was just wonderful? ! .the car was rite there . seems that possession was 9/10s of the law , so the scrapper turned the tables , his grandson was in the rollback one nite and found the car at some gals house they had been keeping a eye on .. he called his scrapper granpa, within 10 minutes they were winchingthe car on the rollback , the guy comes out putting on his pants,.saying "Hey GUYS This is a CIVAL MATTER , You cant do this ,,Let me get my stuff, " Grandson Hollered back "THIS CIVAL MATTER IS OVER , YOUR stuff will be at the shop ",,.on the way to shop scrapper called the sheriff and asked him to look the car over , sheriff found heroin and marijuana in the trunk ..and was going to go after the guy ,when the GUY actually rolled up with his pals to get his dope .., all 3 were busted on drug charges and terroristic threatening..

That really takes the cake. My Word. People are strange, to the point of being mean, and outright stupid.

You have to feel sorry for them Steve, McDonalds and Burger King turn them down for a job request! To bad, someone would quit feeding them, and they would get a little hungry.

Sad, there is a bit of that east of me, but around my little ranch, Everybody is looking after you. But I did have one guy say to me, and I hardly know him, hey I stopped in at your farm and looked around, and he said is that ok (after the fact) I said sure no problem, if anything is missing your plates go into the Sheriff's department!

It is a Great Plains coulter caddy and no-till drill on 10" spacing Plant wheat and beans with it. Holds about 45 bu. of seed on a fill. The 1170 pulls it easily but I put the 2470 on it to get more speed and have the power shift to turn on the ends. Run in 3/3 at 1800 rpm. I have a guess as to who did it as they have been trying to rent the neighbors land. Can't prove it though.
