1951 VAC-11 Coming together. Still have to paint the hood, fenders, grill, engine and front pedastal. The rear rims are painted and ready. It takes lots of man hours to get all the little parts painted. Rest of the work might take a little longer. I'll be starting summer work monday morning running Excavator and Dozer for next 3-4 months plus working on Wildland Forest fires sometimes which are sure to happen. Dick

Looking good Dick. You are making more progress painting than I am. We took last weekend off and played. This week we are rebuilding corrals so we can wean calves next Sunday. Maybe they will stay in this year. I have a matching one of those big wheel weights. It would hold the front end down on the VAC ha ha . Steve

I always thought the VAC 11 through VAC 15 had to have the crooked steering wheel, and all the VAC's with the chicken roost steering were just VAC's with a different front end. Was I told wrong?

You may be right? Being a 1951 I assumed from what I read that it would be a VAC 11. Hopefully an expert will chime in. Dick

DKase is correct, Case didn't start calling them VAC-11,12,13,14 and VAO 15 until some time after the new style VAC with u-joint steering and the cocked steering wheel came out. From dating of the literature I have it looks like they started using the numbers about the time the VAC-14 came out in 1953.
