Some Case Pictures

Got the 300 out and raked some hay today. A somewhat bumpy ride. I will need to get the power-washer out and hose her off. There are still some areas that leak but I suppose that comes with an old tractor that has been in a fire. I will have to remove the plug on the steering box. I think the seals are bad and it leaks the gear oil out the bottom slowly. Still trying to get that seat set right too.

Also, I have always liked the Case A125 engines and decided to get this manual for one. Thought I'd post pictures of the manual for everyone to see.

Conner, how do you hook up your rake. I use my 300 to rake hay and use a "3pt hitch draw bar' on the eagle hitch. It allows me to raise and lower the rake as needed.

Enjoyed them, and I sure love those ice cream tractors, hope to get started on mine soon. Thanks Conner, keep them coming

Thank you all for the replies. rjkeith, I like to do the same thing. I use an old Ferguson drawbar that goes through the 2 lift claws. I like it but with it had more capacity to "roll" from side to side for when one of the rake wheels were to hit a divit. Other than that it the Ferguson drawbar makes it nice to quickly lift the rake over windrows or for hauling down the road. The drawbar setup is also nice for making quick height corrections on the go.

Chuck, bigger biceps than I probably have!

Ande, you will have to get around sometime and let me know the SN of your 300. Like to see how far off ours are from each other.

Conner you may want to think about using "Corn-Head Grease" in that steering box. It is just slightly thicker than oil, barely a grease, many with crawlers use it in the rollers to keep them from leaking past worn seals. I know Deere sells it in tubes to fit a grease gun.

I do the same thing with an older SC with the 2 point cultivator lift, works better than the hand crank, even though it's just up or down. It gives the ol girl some exercise other than just running the wood splitter.
