Well good luck, I hope you did more than put big tires on the rear and an SC nose in it. There are some people on this forum that have had lots of experience with DC pullers.
Loren

My 40 dc starts in 4500 but could easily be made to make 4000 though it usually pulls better heavier. My CC usually needed at least 400lbs. and sometimes as much as 600 on the front making 3500 a real problem.

don't you have an 11 foot weight rule? everyone elso does, how much bore and stroke? I am leery of any clamp on hub. I've seen many crack over the years.

I won't pick your Tractor apart like others. Looks good keep up the hard work and its good to see a case puller among the green and red ones.

you don't have to be sorry to me, the 24" rule is not fair to some tractors including a Case, 11 ft. rule makes it the same for everyone, how much engine does it have? my 436 incher wasn't big enough to run open gear classes but was competitive in a 4 or 5mph class

who's picking it apart? I have been messing around with them for 30 years and have done pretty well so it's not my first rodeo

Mine is 410 ci bullet cam alot of head work 970 case carb 2600 rpms and it's not an sc front end it's custom weighs 32 lbs and I've been pulling for 27 years so it's not my first rodeo either are club made the rules I just use them if I go somewhere else that is the 11ft weight bar the tractor isn't finished the front axle isnt even bolted in there the wheels will actually be 2 inches further back I was just mocking up the sheet metal thanks for your concern but I think I'll be ok if you would like to call me I'll give you hp numbers 5713642466 had alot of help from mel when building this thanks mel

Are open class is 8mph I run 3rd gear with the 18.4 34s and rpms works good and rules allow up to 100 lbs over for scale variance so I have so I'll have 400 lbs movable weight with me on it and I'm not using those 65lb a peice hubs I have weld on hubs my whole purpose of lightning it more is for my 400 up front but thanks for the advice

(quoted from post at 19:39:49 05/19/16) Since you said Mel B has been helping you, You have the best that this forum has to offer you.

Thank you for your kind words Loren, Please do not discount Brutus's advice, He has been pulling for years also and has the Case engine down pretty well. I consider him a great friend and we chat via phone. He pulls at a different level than we here in Pa and his setups may be a bit different than back East here where NATPA has not gotten a foothold, he runs with a pretty tough pulling crowd and on a first name basis with some of the best

I wasn't discounting his advice actually
that was my point where I pull I think I
have a great tractor now out west I might
not fair as well not to many 110 plus
tractors in the 3500

In the 3500 here I meant to say this project started 8 years ago when I talked to mel but was interrupted by divorce lucky for me a freind bought it wink wink
