I picked up several NOS parts from an old dealer and among them were two sets of 4, intake valves but I can't track the part number down. Thepart number is A21697 for the set and maybe 010332AB for the individual valves. Can anyone help out with what they fit? Thanks for any help - Bob

Bob , I have been pouring over every bit of Info I have with no luck on the valves. I must say my wife was taken by your post in 2005 with your draft horses and the dogs in the truck. Priceless. Chuck

Thanks for the kind remarks on the horses Chuck. They are a treat for sure. I know something of what a children's daycare person feels like trying to keep on top of 4 horses and 3 dogs.

My reply was meaning I can't believe with all the knowledge on here that someone wouldn't know what those valves fit or would have used them..lol! I checked a master parts list and it didn't even have them. Checked all my parts books and still didn't come up with anything. Maybe that is why the old dealership still had them...they don't fit anything..lol! Again, thanks for the reply - Bob

Thanks Loren. Where they came from in Western KS would be 830 and 1030 country for sure, but my 830 or 1030 parts books doesn't have either of those numbers. Thanks for the reply - Bob

Exactly. I cannot find where either of these numbers were used anywhere. The fact that the original number was an "O" number, pre-dates the 830 or 1030. The "O10---AB numbers sort of date the parts to the mid to late 50's. My thought is that they are a special valve for an industrial Racine engine. With measurements of the stem & face OD, we may be able to pin them down.

The p/n O10332AB subs to A21697 w/note that states "consists of four in valves". That is from a parts substitution manual dated 1967, the oldest substitution manual I have. So the p/n is older than 1964.

I am with John, O----AB part nrs originated prior to 1960, however the part may possibly have also been used on later tractor. Given that if you go to the CaseHi parts site and check the intake valve p/n on tractor models built 1959 and earlier you will find where used. You can get a list of those models under "serial numbers" on left side page in the classic view forum.

To get you started, it was not used in VA series or 300/300B series engines.

Ok, raining here, looked up a couple of the pre 1960 tractors, O10332AB intake valve was used in 1940 - 1953 LA series LP tractors, "VALVE inlet, for 4767AA cylinder head (LP gas)". Engine is listed as 403 cid, valve may be used in other models.

Now that is some serious investigating. Many thanks for your efforts, as well as all who replied. Again, Western KS would have certainly had several LA's. There was a set of LA valve guides I picked up as well so I guess these might go with them. Thanks again - Bob

I believe you guys were headed in the right direction and Joe nailed it. I stuck the valve into the LA valve guides and it was a perfect fit. Thanks a lot for all of your thoughts. Bob

I was wondering if they fit a LA. I have a LA propane that came from Stratton, CO. The head I have is a high compression head because of the altitude. Higher than a normal propane head. I should look at the head number as I had it rebuilt a number of years ago and was looking for a piston for a propane LA to get this one running. Bet those valves would fit my head. Strange isn't it.
