case cc compression

I have a case cc with 4in pistons and a 5505A head. Just wondering what compression I should have on each cylinder? The rings are all brand new. Thanks in advance.

Hard to come up with a number, it's most important that the compression numbers are close to ea other. Within 10% is a common guideline. The number
would be very dependent on cranking speed. The engine also must be up to operating temperature. Be sure and pull all 4 plugs to ease the starter motor
and to give a bit more speed. Others will chime in with their opinion. Compression testing will show a weak cylinder, and again, the test is for the
comparing of individual cylinders to ea other rather than an actual number

I got it up to temperature and removed all plugs. I have between 105 and 115 on 3 cylinders and 65 on the other.

I think you should have at least 100 psi. Maybe the rings are not seated good in the one cylinder? Did you hone the cylinders and make sure the ring gaps don't line up on the piston? Put a little oil in the bad cylinder and check the compression again.

Yes I did hone them and made sure the ring gaps weren't lined up. How much and what kind on oil?

Hey tom you doing OK and just WHY did CI Have starter option and not C or CC One of cases great answered questions.

The first 3 sound about right, the fourth is basically a dead hole at 65 psi. I'd suspect the head for an improperly ground valve or seat or the valve clearance adjustment.
