Saw a 230 Case baler on craig's list tonight. While it would look great behind one of my Case tractors, I'm on farm equipment time out for a while. CL des moines farm and garden. I have no connection to ad or seller. Just thought a Case man or gal might be looking. gobble

Would you please elaborate on how you get the "time out from dragging stuff home" to work? I thought I had a really good handle on it once upon a time by telling myself if I can use it on the farm, with beef cattle, it can come home. Would a 1960 farm have 4 of these? Probably not. If it's in better shape I'll go for it, but only with a plan to cull the poorer ones. It works with cream separators but not so much with tractors.............It's kind of a losing battle I'm thinking......................

I bought a tractor a couple months back. Then we had to get squared up with Uncle Sam and the IRS(pay taxes). We have a vacation booked and another family outing that is pricey also. Soooo, time out from acquiring any "new" old iron. Maybe a budgetary timeout would have been a better phrase. PLUS, I'm not really farming, I'm playing with big farm toys. lol gobble

What you need Tom is a farm hand to help you use all that has been bought on C-List. C-List has a section called Services .Click on farm and garden in that section. You would be surprised who is available. There is one fellow there who might fit the bill. Take a look.

Kinda like an "intervention" perhaps? I grabbed a neighbor last time I went to look at a tractor. It was a fellow that bought an old farm, and it came "equiped" Mowers, tractors etc etc. One of the "items" was a Racine 400 gas with transmission issues, so the story went. All apart and in a shed for 30 years that way it looked. Since we all know what that means, particularly 2nd hand, I was trying really hard not to bring it home. Left the trailer home, brought the devils advocate along, and then he ended up buying it and now I'm in the dog house with his wife................
