Oil pressure gauge

I have a 1967 930 dsl that has an idiot light for oil pressure and would like to install a gauge. Can you guys tell me where to install the sending unit? Any pics would be awesome!!! Thanks!!!

Just remove the current sender below the starter for the idiot light, screw in a short nipple with a Tee and screw your idiot light sender and the new oil pressure sender into the Tee and run new wires for your gauge. Personally I like operating idiot lights. They are more apt to catch my attention than a gauge if a problem occures.

I like a gauge and a light. The light will get your attention, but only comes on at a very low pressure, usually under 10#. By then, if you're pullng hard, you'll have an issue. The gauge will start fluctuating, or reading a bit lower in pressure if you've an issue. It's fun to read everyones thoughts, even though we all do what we darn well please anyway.................On my 830ck the oil pressure gauge fits nicely in the blank where the COM torque converter temp gauge would fit. (I've an 8spd)

When I was in charge of a fleet, we put warning units on all our new equipment - light and buzzer both - in addition to the gages. Some operators check their instruments, some don't..... I've got an old Oliver that has a factory low pressure buzzer and I kindof like it....
