Case sc delco conversion dist.

Good evening gentlemen ,

I would ask for some help from your great bank of info as I am working on a sc and it has the conversion dist. And I went to my local Nappa auto parts and asked for points, condenser, cap and rotor. This particular Nappa is suppose to be a A.G. Specialist but when the went to the books to get part numbers the only parts were for a standard s model and I thought this would be ok.But when I tried to install the parts this afternoon the cap did not fit.also the point and rotor were wrong. So my question is this what parts do I ask for to fit this distbutor and what are the right ac plug numbers forties park plugs?.

Thanks for any help
Bob

Tell the parts person you have a 1949 Ferguson TO20 .
Delco parts for the converswion were used in many brands of tractors,
Ferguson being one of them used as OE.

If you have the 1111411 Delco parts are readily available. If The Napa parts person can't find parts encourage them to go back to making pizza's or flipping hamburgers! I have been told napa stands for no-auto-parts-available!

The points, condenser, and rotor are the same as a JD 620,630, Allis wd45,D17 and smaller D series. ferguson TO20 and TO30.

There are two different distributor caps. They should be able to match the cap with their parts guide.

Very few books list a distributor for a Case S or D series tractor. My old Big A Auto parts catalog lists a Wico and a Fairbanks magneto for the S and D series.

Delco 1111411 uses same tune up parts as TO20 Fergy.
1959 Case 200B with Delco 1111908, 1111909 also uses same tune up parts as 1111411.

The two distributors are very close. The Allis distributor uses a different base. I'm not sure the caps are the same.

My how things have changed, for the better I might add. I ask a very similar question about my SC years ago. I was immediately blasted, because that Case tractor only came out with a mag, and I should have a mag on it. I was new to the forum back then, did not know about the purest crowd and the keep it running crowd. But I've continued to hang around. I have been educated immensely. Thank you all. gobble
