Case 400 energy cell

I have a 400 Case diesel round nose. How many items go behind plug on the energy cell. The book shows the diagram for the 400B which shows the plug, cap, cell cap and energy cell. I don't have that many pieces on mine. Is the 400 different from the 400B.

Be advised that in the pic. the parts are out of order. The second cap/washer on RH side goes between the cap with the threaded tang and the screw-in retaining plug.

400 is not the same tractor as the 400B.

Doc Larry is correct, the 400 large tractor uses the Case built engine, while rare the small B series 400 and a couple others used a Continental Diesel. The powercells appear identical in layout but it would be very unlikely they would interchange, just the pieces shown are the same appearing and in the same order, body, cap, retainer and nut. The engines are not at all related to one another and Continentals are very rare in Case tractors of that vintage.
