Case DC Engine in a Case DO?

Hello! I have a 1949 Case DO but the motor is locked up. The mechanic who looked at it says that there's rust in a couple of the pistons and that it would take a full rebuild since it doesn't have wet sleeves. I don't know if I wanted to put that kind of money into this tractor, and was wondering if an engine from a Case DC would bolt right in, or would it need any modifications? Thanks for any advice or thoughts you can provide!

Simple rebuild. Not to expensive either. If engine is stuck?, it might be as simple as getting it unstuck to make it run.Dick

D series are wet sleeve engines. The motor is the same as a DC,D,DI.Parts are hard to find and very expensive.
