580 C backhoe how to change alternator belt

I have searched for a easy answer to changing the alternator belt on the backhoe........

looks like removing the 4 bolts holding the pump assembly to the front is not too bad if the pump will move forward..........

anyone have different trick that works or has done this.......any advice.......

Removing bolts on pump is it. Should not be to bad a job. I used to put an extra belt on and wire it out of the way for a spare.

Same here on the extra belt out of the way.
Just cut mine loose the other day on a 580D.

Remove the pump bolts as mentioned and work the pump forward enough to clear the belt.

Also you want to check the coupling and splines for wear.
If bad now is the time to change out the coupling.
Little more work but will save a headache later.

Tie wrap a second belt out of the way behind the pulleys for
Later use.

Case Belt number D73446
You can interchange that number however I have had better
Luck with a Case belt.under $20.00
