A47384 spring(s) A47762 looooong bolt/pin 230-4218 skinny locking nut.

I pulled it out today on a rain delay thinking to put those bushings in that had been riding around with me several years. But upon disassembly discovered that long bolt with the threaded end broken off. Where the nut went, I give up. When those springs break while you are using the tractor it will give a man cause to stop and wonder what went bang in or under the cab. Tom

According to the online parts book, your 4490 is similar to the older style in my 2590. Here's an idea that might
work:

When I rebuilt the pivot points two years ago, I bought 1/2" rod from McMaster p/n 8920K155 and cut it to length
and just pinned it in place with roll pins. The plastic bushings from Case were too expensive for me, so I bought
oilite bronze bushings but can't seem to find the p/n for those, from McMaster as well.

The holes in the stationary parts, where the rod went through the seat frame, had worn too much as well so I welded
in grade 8 flat washers with 1/2" inside diameter repair the holes.

I should has slowed down and snapped some pictures.....

Thanks Dave, I will scratch that down in my parts book. I have a little braze job to do on the X frame also. Tom
