I think a saw on this site one time or maybe it was just on the Internet an 830 with a 504 with the intercooler fit under the hood but I cant see how it would be done without changing the hood quite a bit, and can't seem to find that pic on the Internet anymore. Was that any of you guys tractor? Should I keep the 2670 intercooler on the 504 going in my 930 or just use a regular 504 intake? Any suggestions or pictures would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Ben

I can't answer your question but you should look into changing your low range gear set, I believe they use the high range set out of an 1170 and replace the lr gears to split up your gear spacings, you might want to call Elmer at Elmer's repair to be sure,I heed the high range gears out of a 930 to replace my lr gears to split up the top 4 gears, the HR drive gear out of a 930 has 35 teeth whereas the other models had a 38t drive gear

I guess the ones I have seen did not have the intercooler but then some were done with 1370 engines that didn't have one anyway.

I can't answer that question and don't know much about preparing a engine for pulling. I have not seen many intercoolers in use on the pullers and have wondered why, maybe someone will enlighten us. Rod.

Rod, I was wondering about that also, that was going to be my next question. Maybe it just ends up being a restriction or extra weight, for short runs the intercooler might not help very much.

Finally found a pic, guess I will leave it on.
