I am gaining ground on planting,, 190 acres planted so far with the 970,, I have worked 230 acres of summer fallow with the 1470 and another 40 acres of hay ground with it as well, the 1070 has been over 175 acres of my own hay ground plus another 25 of a neighbors pulling the double harrow,, I hope to catch up planting in the morning, then I have only 60 acres left to get Barley in, then I get to start working stubble ground,,,, so far no rain to speak of still time , one of the things I love about these tractors is the fuel economy, they all are ready to be fueled again now, the 1470 was not quite full when I started this year,,, not bad at all, the 970 is just to the red zone and has 14 hrs on this tank

Pretty good fuel economy. My 2470 uses 1/2 gallon an acre at 6 mph pulling a 30' Case field cultivator with a 7 section flexible wheel drag behind the cultivator. The 4690 moves faster but gets about the same economy. What's the price of fuel there?....I filled the tank and the tractors about 2 weeks ago for 1.509

Tom , Indeed you have been busy. Soil looks like it is working up well. With the barley in looks like a nice shower of rain will make green fields. Still cool here and wet had 1 inch of rain on this heavy clay soil. but it is early here and soil is 40 degrees.

WOW the ground looks like it's turning up like a garden .... So how warm is the ground temp ??
You will be done before they get in the field around here ....

Mark, I never go by ground temp as Barley Wheat ect grows when it cold, the fields here are fast turning green, the Crested Wheat grass we have some much of in our hay fields is 1 1/2"-2" high in many places already,, I am betting I will have Barley up and showing any day now,,, I will try and chat with you soon

Don,,, I hand picked over 10,000 lbs of rocks this year already ,,, I have ,,Plenty,, I have the strips in the shots above pretty well picked out right now lol
