Well, I got the first 40 acres drilled yesterday,, could have got more but had another 5 loads of rock to get out of the field,, have to say picking rocks always get me toned up,, 10 loads total, 800-1000 lbs each load,, the new 970 is a real joy to run, almost like a new tractor she is, I also threw in a few sunrise shots from yesterday as well

Tom that drill looks likes it belongs in back of the 970. Great bunch of pics. Here is a pic looking out the back window of the shop friday afternoon, might be a few days before we can get in fields, Rod.

Where's the trees? Do you just keeping drilling west, over the horizon, for a day or two, set up camp for the evening and then spin around in the morning for the return trip? Kind of reminds me of those old pics of the Canadian wheat fields around the turn of the century where they virtually did just that............Long straight days for those boys working the teams. Makes one think of freeway touring on I70, I80, !90 or I94 west of IA/MN.....

I-90 is about two miles south of me lol,,, trees here are along creeks/rivers, we do have some Pine trees on the higher hills but other than that this is the plains, no trees unless you plant them, these strips are 3/4 of a mile long or so

Ahhhhhhhhhhh yes spring is just around the corner in are parts. Thank-you Tom for the "S-n-S" pic's Tom. Hope your planting season goes well for yeah. God Bless

Great pics as usual :) Might be in Gillette Saturday night for a Icedogs hockey game. Sisters grandson is top 3 scorer for Bozeman and his last game. Not that far from Sturgis. Would like to see your collection some time. I used to work for a Case dealer in ND and grew up on a VAC and L.

IDK Rod, My SC pulls my 14' IH 620 press drill ok in 3rd gear. Things sure change to the west. I was in ne Nebraska yesterday. 80 degrees and no snow anywhere. I wonder if they even know what mud is? Its certainly differen't soil than the black soil we farm that turns to muck when wet.

drilling hay Barley and I am in NE Wyoming, those are rare drills, I have only found 4 others and two of those got crushed, only made in 1970, they are double disc press drills with 6" spacing
