Has anyone ever put a 1200 crank in a 990 block to give it a half inch more stroke for more hp.wanting to know if the flywheel and clutch will bolt up and line up in the 990

I know just enuf to be dangerous ok , but no one else has responded to your post ,. what you are describing is perhaps a 195 c i motor and changing the crank stroke mite make it a 219 c I motor,.. not sure personally but I thought the 990 was a 219 cubic inch motor,, or perhaps i am confusing the specs with the 995 ,,. anyway ,,.. hopefully Guys like Jc Marlowe , Rg Martin , ADK case guy, Thad at Ruscha, or tom Stanley will coach you correctly ...

If you have the late 990 (4-49) engine it will work as the blocks are the same as the 4-55 blocks. You will need a set of pistons for a 1210, 1200 etc also. Everything else is compatible.

The conversion you are talking about will yield a 995. You will need a little more fuel to see much gain. Going to one of the inline pumps will get you more(will need pump, lines, timing gear, backing plate). If you want more power yet, you could install any of the later turbo 4 DB cylinder engines complete in the 990 chassis(1394, 1410 etc).
