Many thanks to everyone who responded with old dealers. I have gotten just over 50 new ones so I know their are more out there. After finding a old notebook that was stashed away I now have over 1450 dealers listed. Keep 'em coming. Thanks again to all of you. Don

I might have given these before....Case Power and Equipment, Fargo, ND and Mickelson Implement Aberdeen,SD. Also.. Steffen Imp., Raymond, Mn....all were in our stompin' grounds back in the day if Dad and my brothers and I were in the market for Case machinery.

Don a good way to look up old dealers of any kind, is to have your friends look thru their old school annual's. Most car and Implement dealers advertised when asked, to buy a add, to support the school, and usually a phone number and maybe a old picture will be in the annual also.People saved their school stuff, but not phone books. But i did remember one more dealership. It was Markhart Implement, in Ellendale North Dakota. I took me basic training with the son. Ronnie. There was a well do John Deere dealership in the same community, I remember Ronnie telling me every time the JD dealership sold a new 4020 tractor, he would rent the customer a 1/4 of land.

Beat me to it Steve. I was just going to mention Mickelson's. After they lost the dealership to the red guys across the street, they started a CaseIH dealership in Milbank, SD which became Valley Farm Equipment. I don't know if there was an old dealer in Milbank selling Case or IH before the merger. If there was I'm guessing IH ???? Anybody know????

OH i got to tell you about Lelm Implement, They use to be in McClusky North Dakota, they advertised on two radio station, during the 30 and 70 series was new. There still in business with Ford and New Holland, But in one of the neighboring towns, They have a welding@ machine shop and nice big long Turning Lathes in there. Lots of cattle in that area!

Today I added several more Case dealers in two separate posts on the previous thread.....If I could dig out some 1970's farm mags I have,I could probably could add more..

Don,
Had you heard of Kalleps Implement, of Abbottsford, Wisconsin. Big Case dealer. He sold my grandfather a brand new 39? SC. We still have it!
Also, I "think" there was a dealer in Granton, Wisconsin, called Motts Implement, but I just barely remember that from 5 years old, and I'm 66 now! So, without further confirmation from someone, I would write that one in pencil.

Redfield Motor Sales Co. in Redfield, SD. Leslie A. Wilhelm, Mgr.

As you can see, another real good source is if folks look at their old County Atlases or Farm Directorys. This one is from 1952. I was told Wilhelm didn't sell any number series Case or two tones but quite a few Flambeau,so must have quit in the mid-fifties.

There's a CaseIH, John Deere and Ford Dealer in Redfield yet today.
But the ads in this atlas show in '52 there was also GMC Trucks, Pontiac, Buick, Johnson Outboard Motors, McCormick farm machinery, International Trucks, Farmhand, Massey Harris, New Holland, Oldsmobile, Ford Tractors, Minneapolis Moline, Hudson, Allis-Chalmers, Chevrolet, New Idea and Studebaker. Wow!

Hi fastfarmall, did Ronnie ever tell you about their shop fire? I helped rebuild the parts department after it. Was going to College there and had worked at Carlson-Sjostrom Case in Kulm in parts ect.

Hi Denny, no he never mentioned that. But Ronnie got a of heart gold doesn't he. I havent seen him for 45 years, but i am sure that hasn't changed.

I did have Kalepp. I was very surprised they survived the merger. They must have sold a lot of equipment. When talking with him several years ago, he mentioned a dealer in a place called Athens Corners in the 30's and 40's. Did you ever hear of that place?

Also, I was told by a couple different people of a dealer in Granton, but nobody can remember their name. I'll use Motts in "quotes" for now. Thanks, Don

I just thought of another Case dealer...It was Howard Schoby whom was the Case dealer at Latham,MO in the 1960's?-1970's.....Heres his "Golden Eagle" 970 Case pulling tractor that ran good in the 9000 lb class..

I may have sent this one before and others might be able to add details. Guy Heron, Groton, SD.
Had a fellow tell me there was a dealer in Frederick, SD too. Building is still standing (kind of) but we never did come up with a name.
K&A, Eureka just came to mind. There were more in that part of the country too.

Valley farm equipment did sell ih but had closed before that and it may have been under a different name valley international rings a bell and open still but under titan machinery name

I thought of another one if someone else hasn't given it to you. Snyder Equipment in Alto Mi. I don't know the compete years but they were there 1980 through 85.

In 1947 my dad bought a VAO from Mac and Mac Hardware. They were the CASE dealer in Penticton and Kelowna B.C. In 1967 he bought a CASE 430 from McMurray Tractor and Equipment in Penticton B.C. Our Case dealer now is NOBLE TRACTOR and EQUIPMENT LTD in Armstrong B.C.

This dealer has been out of business for a long time but have you heard of

Abel Bros Implement Bridgeport Illinois ?

When Case dropped their combines they became a Massey dealer.

Thank you. I had them listed but no additional info. It's nice to know some details of their operation. Don
