Where is the hydraulic sump screen on a 1070?

Id like to pull the pickup screen for the hydraulic pump out of my 1070 and make sure its clean. Does anyone know how to get to it?

I believe you have to remove the pro housing to get at that screen

The hydraulic pump is mounted to the rear housing - the pto drive shaft comes from the engine and drive the pump. The whole housing would need to come off of the rear of the transmission (this will include the pto clutch and pto final drive which mounts to the housing - HEAVY). The screen is attached to the bottom of the housing via a tube and the screen is attached to that at the bottom of the final drive/rear of transmission...

Unfortunately can't scan my book - but Case Nutty 1660 has the rear exploded view - missing the suction tube that attached at the lower left (if seen from rear of tractor) -

I need to do this for my project as I'm not confident the screen is very clean either... hope this helps. Brian Case farm kid

Im glad its so easy to get to. My tractor sat for 15 years and had gunk in the bottom of the hydraulic filters Im wondering if there was gunk built up down below too where the oil was. Maybe that has something to do with the 3pt not wanting to come up.

if your remotes and the rest of the systems are working fine the suction screen has nothing to do with the 3pt,, I am betting your issue is in the Draft-O-Matic valve
