If things go well on Thursday, I should be driving it out on Saturday, Rod. I will not be in the shop Friday.

Yes I got a good carrier and bought new C1 clutch dics. Did not want to risk getting used disc that may be ready to crack. We saved it, I suppose that means you might see
more of the tractor in the future, LOL. Rod.

From the sound of the weather forecast you will want to keep it in the warm shop. Calling for some sub-zero temps here Thurs., Fri., and Saturday. I've had my 2470 about 24 years and thank goodness it has never had a trans. problem, knock on wood.

Looks good there Rod,,, are your legs feeling the burn yet? I need to do the same to this one as it has the same issue as yours did but for no more than I use it right now I will just use it with 4 gears, was 53 here yesterday 50 again today our frost has pretty well come out as well

The climbing up and down has not been to bad, but that crawling under really sucks. Bring that 26 over, we'll have her fixed in no time. Rod.

Steve what ever you are doing keep doing. For the most part guys that operated them with a little common sense and knew how to use a grease gun got along fine. The new larger MFD tractors that are more user friendly has just killed the market for these old 4 wheelers. Rod.

I have a 2470 that could use a little freshening up! Too many "little" things need attention and I have limited abilities.

Loren I hope the two make a good tag team. The little guy does a great job of cleaning up in front of the buildings, I need to use that man powered shovel very little. The big guy can hopefully handle the serious stuff, Rod.

You sure work fast!

Rod what type of holder is that bolted to the top of the engine, that you use to lift the engine?

It is just a piece of 2 in x 1/2 in strap with holes to match the ones holding the valve covers down with a heavy U shaped rod welded to it. All the engines I lift only those 2 studs holding the valve cover down is what I use. Rod.
